Interview Notes

Conduct an interview with someone in the educational system. This could be a teen or young adult (13-22)*, a classroom educator, an administrator, a parent, etc. to learn about their experiences of digital life.

Before class on Friday, export your notes as a PDF and submit to this assignment. Come prepared to our final session on Friday to share your highlights from your interview with the class.

* If you are interviewing a teen under age 18, secure consent/permission (see Interview Guide for template).

Actually Helpful Resource

Your final assignment is to create an actually helpful resource for your educational context, grounded in empathy and curiosity for young people. You will choose a format that will be personally or professionally useful to you and actually helpful to others. This might be an op-ed, presentation or letter to colleagues, classroom policy, curriculum plan, teaching philosophy statement, vibe coded application, content series like a newsletter, video, or podcast, or another format that fits your context and goals.

Submit your final resource to this assignment by Friday, January 23rd. It can be a link, a video, a document, or an audio file.
